Over-overknees: leather and lace

Lace Shirt - Zara via Flea market
Shoes - Zara

*Like!* :)

Was meint Ihr?

New set of pictures with experiments and realisations:

- I can't really use nude lipstick, it makes me look pale... I also only have two red lipsticks, maybe it's time for something pink or peachy, especially with spring arriving.

- It's still a little too cold to not wear tights outside - so if you're sitting in a restaurant, you won't need them. I, of course, went out without tights and soon realized that it was a very bad idea... :D

- I haven't been sure about wearing this kind of shoes. I'm just about 1,61m tall and don't have that many short skirts and dresses that would suit them. On the other hand, I can't say no to overknees, so I tried it out. I like them a lot, also because they're pretty special and make one's legs look awesome! *Like!* :)

- Should I look a little more serious while shooting? Normally, I would say no, but I do like a couple of these pictures although I wasn't smiling. What do you think about it?

New in January & February

Hallo Ihr Lieben!
// Hey lovelies! Today I'm going to show you my acquisitions from the last two months. You even already know some of them. :)

// A wonderful blazer from Zara which was part of the last outfit: the blurry and not-too-flashy flower print amazed me. It was also on sale at a great price, so I allowed myself to buy it. :D

// Yay, another blazer for the office! I liked the fact that pink was integrated in the print and now it's a great addition to my blazer collection.

Zara, 5,99€ :)
// Pink, yet again... You've already seen it here - I totally like the short length of this pullover! From Zara, priced at 5,99€ :)

// I have been looking quite a while for such a blouse: bright red, flowing, classic cut... I finally got one, thanks to the Mango sale, for approx. 15€ :)

*verliebt*
// I like the fancy quilted pattern of this blouse. The best thing about it? The material is 100% rayon! *in love*

// #6 (left) I've finally found a pair of ballerinas that I really like, that is totally rare! #7 (right) was bought on a flea market. It's supposed to be gold-plated, I'll ask Mr. Google how I can recognize that.

Was gefällt Euch denn am liebsten davon? // Do you have a favorite piece? :)

Oh beautiful Spring!

Blazer - Zara
Top & Skirt - Flea market
Overknees - TK Maxx

The sun is coming out, the temperatures are rising - Oh Spring, please come to stay! It's a shame that I had to spend the last days in the office only, but at least you can open windows and breathe in the fresh (and not-so-cold) air! It feels wonderful! Earlier today, I was finally able to take pictures in the sun!

Hope you are also having such good weather, wherever you may be, lovely reader!

Shooting at night with the 50mm/f1.

White Dress with Mesh Inserts - Cubus
Scarf - Hessnatur via Flea market

Many of you may know that I've bought the EF 50mm/f1.8 camera lens about two weeks ago and was totally thrilled about it. We had to practice a lot before achieving a couple of satisfying photos. However, we were quite surprised during the first shooting at night, which was at first positive thanks to its high light intensity, but it became negative afterwards, because the focus was almost never at the right place. As we clicked through the taken pictures and zoomed in to check, we thought they were sharp enough, but unfortunately, they weren't.

I made some research and found out that this lens might have problems working with the automatic focus of my EOS 350D. Moreover, it doesn't seem to be precise enough in low light situations, as some experiences tell. I'm still looking for a solution, hoping that my initial enthusiasm won't decrease because of this.

High heels for perfection!

Remember the moment you put on your first pair of high heels? I started really low when I turned fourteen: my first heels were 3cm-high wedges. Ballerinas in black with small white dots, as well as a small buckle as a finishing touch. Naturally, they received lots of love and were worn until the day they literally fell apart. Then came the t-strap pumps in black, also wedges, but this time a little higher. Small Mai was always thrilled when she grew from 1.60m to 1.67 with them!

A few years now passed by, shoes came and went, somehow the heels aren't really there anymore. The remaining ones are just there to collect dust, as it seems. When you turn into a comfy person who prefers long walks, it's kind of understandable that heels aren't part of your daily outfit anymore. Out of all the pairs of high heels that I have, I'm only wearing two or three, occasionally. It's sad, actually.

I sense a change coming, though. The teenage feeling (go figure, I'm only 21!) is coming back. Being able to dance and turn on heels used to bring so much joy, so why should that have changed? You can always cheat a little to make them comfy, using thick heels or wedges - which I don't like anymore, strangely. There are possibilities to include heels in your lifestyle, you just have to want it. Also, I think that the main reason for their absence is the lack of the perfect shoes. That's why I'm starting, as of today, to hunt for a clean and chic high heels collection (without exceeding, say, ten pairs!), which I will want to wear everyday - this means that a few are going to have to move out. Now I'll have to gather them from in between the shoe mess; this might have something to do with the fact that I share a house with four men, haha. Criteria must be listed and decisions must be made! Ten pairs means everything must be covered, from summer to winter, from sunny to rainy.

Something got me going there, I hope it's here to last long, cause chasing perfection will take quite a while! ;) The following pictures show some potential comfy(!) candidates for the collection.

/// The first pair is from COS: real leather sandals that I found in a mint condition on a flea market, whilst only having to pay one-tenth of the original price. One must love to get lucky!

/// #2 were a result of a swap I made on Kleiderkreisel two years ago. They're really comfy and exactly my color, however it's not real leather, unfortunately. Should I ever find similar shoes in the right material (for me), there is a chance they are going to be replaced. #3 are made of real suede, though. They were on sale a few months ago at 5th Avenue (Deichmann), so I took them home. It was a really good decision!

#4 und 5 sind leider die Wackelkandidaten. Beide aus echtem Leder, beide geliebt worden, also warum? /// These are uncertain candidates, even though both are real leather and were unconditionally loved, so why? The answer is quite simple: I don't have better ones. I dislike the funnel shaped heels on the left, and the low height of the overknees. If I can bring myself to replace them, they're going to leave me one day.

:D /// So who's going on this quest for perfection with me? :D
